These terms govern your use of iMathMate. We've written them as clearly as possible — please read them before using the app.
By downloading, installing, or using the iMathMate application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. By allowing a minor to use iMathMate, a parent or guardian accepts these Terms in full.
Plain English: Using iMathMate means you've read and accepted these rules. If you're a student under 18, your parent or guardian needs to be okay with this too.
iMathMate is available to users of all ages. However:
We reserve the right to decline or terminate service to any user who misrepresents their age or who is found to be in violation of these Terms.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the App itself at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
You agree to use iMathMate only for lawful, personal, and educational purposes. The following are strictly prohibited:
Academic integrity: iMathMate is a learning tool, not a shortcut. Please follow your school's policies on technology use during exams and assessments. We encourage learning through understanding, not answer-copying.
When you submit photos, text, or other content to iMathMate (collectively, "User Content"), you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the App's features to you.
Do not submit content that contains personal information about other people, copyrighted material you do not have the right to use, or any content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
All content, design, software, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property within the App — excluding User Content — are owned by iMathMate or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, iMathMate and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
This includes but is not limited to:
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim. If you have paid nothing, our liability shall be limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities — in those cases, the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted by local law.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of iMathMate shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless local law in your jurisdiction provides mandatory consumer protection rights that require otherwise — in which case those local rights are not affected.
For users in the European Union, the EU's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution, but we will always try to resolve concerns directly first.
