iMathMate is committed to giving you full control over your data. Whether you signed in using Facebook or simply want to delete your iMathMate account entirely, this page explains exactly what we collect and how to remove it — permanently.

Section 01
Data We Receive From Facebook Login

When you choose "Continue with Facebook" to sign in to iMathMate, we request the following Facebook permissions:

  • public_profile — your name and public profile picture
  • email — your email address

We do not request or receive your Facebook friends list, posts, photos, messages, or any other information beyond what is listed above. This data is used only to create and authenticate your iMathMate account — the same way it would be if you signed up with an email and password instead.

Section 02
How to Request Deletion of Your Data

You can request full, permanent deletion of your iMathMate account and all associated data using either of the two methods below.

In-App Deletion (Fastest)

Open the iMathMate app → tap your Profile icon → Settings → Delete Account. Confirming this permanently deletes your account, including any data originally received through Facebook Login.

Email Request

If you can't access the app, email Privacy@imathmate.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request", sent from the email address associated with your account. Our team will process your request and permanently delete your data within 30 days.

We may ask you to verify your identity before completing an email deletion request, to protect your account from being deleted by someone else.

Section 03
What Happens When Your Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Your account and profile information
  • Your learning progress, quiz history, and skill data
  • Your saved math problems and solutions
  • Any information originally received from Facebook Login (name, email, profile picture)

This action cannot be undone. Once deletion is complete, this information cannot be recovered, except where we are legally required to retain limited records for security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.

Section 04
Disconnecting Facebook Does Not Delete Your Account

Removing iMathMate from your Facebook settings (Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → remove iMathMate) only stops iMathMate from being able to use Facebook to sign you in again. It does not delete your iMathMate account or any data already stored with us.

To fully delete your account and data, you must use one of the two methods described in Section 02 above.
