Our Story

Built for the Student
Who Almost Gave Up.

iMathMate started with a simple observation: the students who struggle most aren't the ones who can't do math. They're the ones who never got a chance to understand it properly.

Where It Began

The Problem
We Couldn't Ignore

Millions of students hit a wall in math — not because they lack intelligence, but because they lack a starting point. A tutor isn't always available. A parent may not remember the material. A textbook gives the answer but never the thinking behind it.

iMathMate was built to close that gap. Snap a photo of any problem, and within seconds you get a clear, step-by-step explanation that teaches you how to think through it — not just what the answer is.

We obsess over one question: what does it feel like to be stuck at 10pm with homework due tomorrow and no one to ask? Every feature we build is an answer to that question.

10pm, Homework Due Tomorrow

Before iMathMate, this was the moment students gave up. Now it's the moment they push through — with a tutor in their pocket.

Step-by-Step, Not Just Answers

Every solution shows the reasoning, not just the result. Students build genuine understanding they can apply next time.

Confidence, Not Dependency

iMathMate is designed to teach, not to do homework for students. The goal is always understanding — so they need the app less over time.

Our Mission
"We believe every student deserves a patient, knowledgeable guide who can explain any math problem — clearly, instantly, and without judgment."
— The iMathMate Team
What We Stand For

Our Values

Six principles that shape every decision we make — from product features to how we talk to our users.

🎯
01 — Understanding First

Answers Without Understanding Are Useless

We never optimise for giving students a quick answer they can copy. Every feature is built to create genuine comprehension, not shortcuts.

🤝
02 — Radical Accessibility

Math Help Should Not Be a Privilege

Private tutors cost money most families don't have. iMathMate is free to start and designed to serve every student — regardless of their background.

🔍
03 — Clarity Over Cleverness

Simpler Is Almost Always Better

We write explanations the way a great teacher would — plain English, no jargon, no showing off. If a student has to re-read it twice, we've failed.

🛡️
04 — Students Come First

We Never Compromise on Student Safety

We build for children and young people, which means privacy, safety, and wellbeing are non-negotiable. No ads. No data selling. No dark patterns.

🌍
05 — Inclusive by Design

Every Student, Every Language

Supporting English, French, and Arabic — with full RTL layout — is only the start. We're expanding to more languages and curricula every quarter.

📈
06 — Always Learning

We Ship, We Listen, We Improve

iMathMate is never finished. Every piece of feedback from students, parents, and teachers shapes the next version. The roadmap is driven by real needs, not assumptions.

Our Journey

How We Got Here

A product built step by step — each milestone driven by the students who use it.

01
2024 — The Idea

The First Photo-to-Solution Prototype

Our founding team ran a simple experiment: could a student photograph a handwritten algebra problem and get a useful explanation back in under 10 seconds? The answer was yes — and the app was born.

02
2024 — Early Access

First 500 Students, First Real Feedback

We launched a closed beta with 500 students across three secondary schools. Retention was high — and the feedback was clear: students didn't just want solutions, they wanted to be taught.

03
2025 — Feature Expansion

Quiz Mode, Saved Gallery & Streak Rewards

Based on beta feedback, we added practice tools to complement passive learning. Students could now solve, then immediately test themselves on the same concept — closing the gap between watching and doing.

04
2025 — Going Global

French & Arabic Support with Full RTL

We localised the entire app — not just translated, but culturally adapted — for French and Arabic-speaking students, including full right-to-left layout. iMathMate became a genuinely multilingual learning tool.

05
2026 — Now

10,000+ Students, 50,000+ Problems Solved

The numbers matter less than what they represent: a student somewhere who sat with a problem they were sure they couldn't solve — and did. That's what keeps us building.
