The fastest way to get help with any math problem. Point, snap, and get a full step-by-step explanation in seconds — no typing required.
Tap the camera icon at the bottom of the screen to open the Snap & Solve tab.
Hold your camera over any written or printed math problem. Make sure the text is well-lit and clearly visible inside the frame.
Press the shutter button. iMathMate reads the problem and begins solving — usually within 5–10 seconds.
Each step is explained clearly. Tap any step to expand it and read the full reasoning behind it.
iMathMate reads neatly written handwritten problems as well as printed textbook questions.
Already have a photo? Tap the gallery icon to pick an existing image of a problem instead.
Tip: Good lighting makes a big difference. Avoid shadows falling across the problem, and keep the camera steady before tapping.
Ask iMathMate anything — in plain English, French, or Arabic. The chat explains concepts, answers follow-up questions, and guides you through problems step by step.
Tap the chat icon in the navigation bar. You'll enter a fresh conversation with iMathMate's AI tutor.
Ask anything: "Can you explain what a derivative is?", "Why do we flip the fraction when dividing?", or paste a problem directly.
iMathMate remembers the conversation. If you're still confused, ask "Can you explain that differently?" or "Show me another example."
Go to Settings and choose English, French, or Arabic. The tutor will respond entirely in your chosen language.
"Why does a negative times a negative equal a positive?" — iMathMate will explain with a clear analogy and worked example.
English, French (Français), and Arabic (العربية) — with full right-to-left layout for Arabic learners.
Tip: The more context you give, the better the answer. Instead of "solve this," try "I don't understand why we do step 3 — can you explain it a different way?"
Quizzes in iMathMate are not just tests — they're diagnostic tools that tell you what you know, what you don't, and what to focus on next.
Tap "Quiz" in the bottom navigation. You'll see topic categories and difficulty levels.
Pick any topic to practise, or take the full diagnostic quiz to get an overall assessment of your level.
Multiple-choice questions appear one at a time. Take your time — there's no timer.
After each question, see the explanation — whether you got it right or wrong. Wrong answers trigger a mini-lesson on the spot.
Getting something wrong in iMathMate isn't a failure — it's the system finding your exact learning gap. That's valuable data.
Quiz scores feed directly into your personalised learning path — improving the accuracy of your recommendations each time.
Tip: Retake quizzes on the same topic every week. Watching your score improve over time is one of the most motivating things iMathMate shows you.
Your roadmap updates automatically as you use the app. It tells you exactly where to focus next — based on everything iMathMate has learned about your skills.
Tap the chart icon in the bottom bar to see your full progress dashboard.
Each topic shows a percentage score. Green means strong, orange means review needed, red means learn this first.
Your roadmap highlights the 2–3 topics that will have the biggest impact on your improvement right now.
Daily usage builds your streak. A streak signals consistent practice — the single most reliable predictor of improvement.
Topic-level charts show your score history over time. You'll see the impact of each study session reflected in real data.
The more you use iMathMate, the more accurate your roadmap becomes. Early recommendations are good — later ones are excellent.
Tip: Share your Progress screen with a parent or teacher each week. It's a clear, honest picture of where you are and where you're heading.
Build your own personal revision library by saving solutions you want to return to. Perfect for exam preparation.
Use Snap & Solve or Chat to get a solution to a problem you want to keep.
The bookmark icon appears at the top of any solution screen. Tap it to save the full solution to your Gallery.
Find all your bookmarked solutions in the Saved tab — organised by date, with the original problem image and full explanation.
Scroll through your saved solutions the night before a test. Each one is a worked example of a concept you actually encountered.
Over time, your Saved gallery becomes a curated set of worked examples — built from the actual problems you've faced.
Tip: Save problems you got wrong, not just ones you found hard. Coming back to past mistakes is one of the most effective revision strategies.
